Wi-Fi Installation for Offices & Corporate Workplaces

Wi-Fi Installation for Offices

Modern offices live on wireless: video calls, cloud apps, VoIP, guest access, mobiles, printers, IoT and security devices. If Wi-Fi falters, productivity does too. The culprit is rarely “just the Wi-Fi”—it’s usually a mix of building fabric, poor AP placement, thin backhaul and tired cabinets. ACCL delivers survey-led, standards-aligned office Wi-Fi across London, Surrey and Kent, designed for roaming, density and day-one reliability—without disrupting your working day.

Why office Wi-Fi struggles (and how we fix it)

  • Dead zones & jitter: Steel, glass and dense partitions block and reflect RF; auto-placement or “grid” layouts ignore real-world attenuation.

  • Sticky clients & interference: Untuned channel plans and transmit power create roaming delays, unfair airtime and random drop-offs.

  • Starved backhaul: APs running over 100 Mb/s links, undersized uplinks or low PoE budgets flatten throughput at peak.

  • Flat networks: One SSID for everything invites broadcast noise and security risk; guests, staff and IoT must be segmented.

  • Cabinet chaos: Over-long patching and heat build-up cause intermittent faults that look like “Wi-Fi problems.”

We start with measurement, then build an RF design anchored by a robust wired layer and clear documentation.

Our survey-led approach

1) On-site wireless survey
We map real attenuation and interference, validate proposed AP locations, and model density for meeting rooms, open plan areas and hot-desking zones.

2) Wired readiness & PoE budgeting
We confirm each AP’s backhaul and power—multi-gig uplinks where needed, correct switch placement, and clean routes back to cabinets.

3) Design for capacity and roaming
Channel plans, band-steering, minimum data rates and power tuning are set for high concurrency and smooth hand-off between APs.

4) Secure segmentation
Separate SSIDs/VLANs for Staff, Guest and Devices/IoT with appropriate authentication (WPA2-Enterprise/802.1X for staff), QoS for voice/video and rate limits where needed.

5) Out-of-hours installation & optimisation
Evenings or weekends for noisy works; live tuning post-install; then a full handover pack for your IT team.

What your finished solution includes

  • Right-sized AP mix: Indoor, meeting-room and high-density units where they earn their keep—not a neat but ineffective grid.

  • Clean, certified cabling: Correct category runs to APs, tidy patching, ventilated cabinets and labelled outlets to a consistent scheme.

  • Controller & policy configuration: SSIDs, RADIUS, VLANs, guest portals, QoS and monitoring set to your standards.

  • Resilient backhaul: Fibre or copper uplinks sized for peak usage, with diverse routing where practical.

  • Monitoring & alerting: Health thresholds and rogue detection so you spot issues before users do.

  • Handover & documentation: Heatmaps, as-builts, patching matrices, PoE budgets and admin credentials, stored securely.

Working in live office environments

We phase by neighbourhoods and floors, fence work areas, and reinstate daily. Noisy tasks are out-of-hours; quiet tasks run safely in business hours. Change windows, landlord rules and building security are baked into the method statements. If cabinets need a refresh, we sequence this before Wi-Fi go-live so the wired layer is stable on day one.

Security, compliance and governance

  • Policy-first design: Segmentation and identity-based access protect staff services from guest and IoT traffic.

  • Audit-ready evidence: Certification results, drawings and change logs support internal governance and external assessments.

  • Fire-stopping & materials: Penetrations are sealed and LSZH used where required; containment and segregation from power meet best practice.

  • Join-up with building systems: Where CCTV, access control and signage share infrastructure, policies and pathways are documented to avoid overlap and surprise

Benefits you’ll notice

  • Predictable performance at peak: Meetings, uploads and screen shares behave—even on busy floors.

  • Smooth roaming: No more “hangs” moving between rooms; minimum data rates and tuned power end sticky-client issues.

  • Faster support: Clear labelling, controller visibility and heatmaps shorten every incident.

  • Lower total cost: Correct cabling, PoE and cabinet hygiene prevent costly firefights later.

  • Future-proofed: Designs anticipate denser layouts, new SSIDs, tri-band/6 GHz APs and office moves.

FAQs

Can you avoid downtime?
Yes. We phase works so existing networks remain live; each zone is installed, tested and handed back before staff return.

Do we need new cabling to every AP?
Not always. We test and retain sound runs, replacing or adding only where it improves stability, PoE or throughput.

Will guests see the corporate network?
No. Guests are isolated on dedicated VLANs/SSIDs with policy controls and, if required, a branded captive portal.

What about meeting rooms with many devices?
We model concurrency and specify high-density APs and channel plans for those rooms, with QoS tuned for voice/video.

Do you hand over full documentation?
Yes—heatmaps, as-builts, patching matrices, PoE tables and controller backups are included.
