Access Control cards and Fobs
Access control cards are affordable and can easily be issued to bath staff and temporary guests, and can include an ID photo with credit to use in cashless canteen transactions. These are also easy to manage – cards can be activated or inactivated by a computer and can be reissued in a short space of time. You can also control which parts of the building the cardholder can access.
Access cards can work for a single point of entry up to multi-door or multi-site entry.
Proximity fobs can be used the same way as an access control card.
Biometric access control
Biometric access control systems use fingerprint or retina readers to admit entry. The users’ fingerprint is scanned and added to a system and can be used the same way as an access control card. This type of access control solution is typically more expensive, but as an access control solution eliminates the risk of unwanted entry from stolen fobs and cards.
Staff Database
A staff personnel database will allow you to assign access levels for staff and students, as well as adding temporary guests. This can be linked to a HR database to avoid double data entry.
