Cat6a cable
What is Cat 6A cable? Category 6a cable (Cat6a) is one of the bulkier mediums used for data transmission. It utilises copper twisted pairs, wrapped around a flexible central plastic support.
The main difference between Cat6 cable and Cat6a cabling is speed and distance when used on a 10 Gigabit network. Cat6a produces double the capacity (500MHz) and distance (up to 100m), it is, therefore, a perfect solution for bandwidth hunger enterprises that cover large distances.
With clients placing higher demands on network cable speeds and applications like video and audio editing, processing CAD, large file transfers and SQL database even with the advent of roaming profiles, system controllers will all benefit running on a Cat6a infrastructure.
