What is Cat 6A cable? Category 6a cable (Cat6a) is one of the bulkier mediums used for data transmission. It utilises copper twisted pairs, wrapped around a flexible central plastic support.
The main difference between Cat6 cable and Cat6a cabling is speed and distance when used on a 10 Gigabit network. Cat6a produces double the capacity (500MHz) and distance (up to 100m), it is, therefore, a perfect solution for bandwidth hunger enterprises that cover large distances.
