Luton Hoo Hotel

Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa, a Grade 5 star hotel on the border of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire is itself undergoing treatment…the ACCL Treatment!

Phase 1 completion

ACCL have now completed the first phase of a 3 phase plan which ultimately will bring some resilience back to the Voice and Data Communication network of this fantastic Grade I listed property and provide stability to their infrastructure with a brand new Fibre Optic Core Ring.

The first phase of the project involved the installation of 1897 Metres of Cabling connecting 2 main communication rooms underground with Fibre Optic Cable. For the Installation ACCL chose Brand-Rex OS2, 24 Core Singlemode Cable, this was specially manufactured at Level 2, Rodent Proof. (A rodent proof coating and gel filled loose tube)

Existing Ductwork needed to be adapted due to wear and tear and as the normal Fibre could not be pulled through the last part of the Ductwork, CST Cable was used instead, steel tape armoured and fusion spliced to the OS2 Cable.

Hot on the heels of Phase I being completed plans are now underway for Phase II to commence.

A little background to Luton Hoo

The architect of the original Mansion House in 1767 was the famous champion of neo-classicalism, Robert Adam.

Other famous names associated with Luton Hoo down the centuries include Capability Brown, Faberge, Winston Churchill, our present Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as Hollywood royalty including Steven Spielberg.

The estate was acquired by the Elite Hotels Group in 1999 and was kept under wraps for 8 years while an extensive restoration and refurbishment programme was carried out on both the estate building and over 1,000 acres of grounds.
