A structured cabling process built around your site
Survey and design
We review outlet quantities, supported equipment, cabinet positions, pathways, containment, power and PoE requirements, access restrictions and likely future changes. The proposal records the agreed design and assumptions before work starts.
Installation and coordination
Our engineers install cable routes, outlets, patch panels, fibre and cabinet terminations to the agreed specification. Occupied buildings can be delivered in phases, out of hours or alongside a wider fit-out programme.
Testing and handover
Copper links are Fluke DSX tested to the specified category. Fibre testing is agreed for the project and can include loss measurement and OTDR traces. Labels, schedules and results are compiled into a usable handover pack.
Cat6, Cat6A and fibre for Kent businesses
Cat6 suits many everyday business Ethernet installations. Cat6A is commonly selected where 10 Gigabit Ethernet, higher PoE loads or additional performance headroom is required. Fibre is used for longer distances, building backbones and links between floors, cabinets or separate buildings.
The right choice depends on link length, bandwidth, interference, containment space and the equipment being connected. ACCL recommends a specification after the survey rather than applying one cable type to every site. Read our Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A comparison or explore our fibre optic installation service.
