Work is coordinated with the fit-out team, landlord and client stakeholders, including out-of-hours delivery where required.

04 · Cutover and testing
Live services are migrated in the agreed order and each included link is tested before release to the client team.

05 · Handover
Labels, certification results and as-built information are issued so the network is supportable from day one.

The move date is fixed. The network plan has to work backwards from it.

A relocation project is not complete when the last cable is installed. It is complete when users can arrive, connect and work as expected on the agreed date.

What does an office relocation cabling service include?

That depends on the project scope, but it commonly includes survey work, structured cabling design, fibre links, cabinet and comms room works, installation, testing, labelling, cutover planning and handover documentation.

How far in advance should cabling be planned for an office move?

Which cabling standards and test methods do you work to?

ACCL designs and tests office relocation cabling against the standards and limits agreed at scoping. That commonly means copper cabling to the relevant ISO/IEC or TIA category standard, and fibre links tested to the manufacturer’s and Fluke recommendations for the chosen optics. Can ACCL work in an empty shell and alongside the fit-out contractor?

Yes. We can deliver first-fix and second-fix cabling within a wider fit-out programme, coordinate routes and access with other trades, and return for testing and final handover when the space is ready.

Can the work be completed outside normal business hours?

Yes. Evening, weekend and phased working can be planned where building access and the programme allow it. The agreed method should reflect operational risk and the sequence of the move.

Do you remove cabling from the old office?

Legacy cable removal and decommissioning can be included where required, subject to the lease, landlord requirements and an agreed scope for retained or abandoned infrastructure.

What information is supplied at handover?

The handover package can include certification results, labelling schedules and as-built information. The exact format is agreed during scoping so it is useful to the client, facilities team and any building-management stakeholders.

Arrange a site survey early enough to design the cabling, cabinet and cutover workstream properly, before the fit-out programme becomes restrictive.
