How far in advance should cabling be planned for an office move?

Which cabling standards and test methods do you work to?

ACCL designs and tests office relocation cabling against the standards and limits agreed at scoping. Can ACCL work in an empty shell and alongside the fit-out contractor?

Yes. We can deliver first-fix and second-fix cabling within a wider fit-out programme, coordinate routes and access with other trades, and return for testing and final handover when the space is ready.

Can the work be completed outside normal business hours?

Yes. Evening, weekend and phased working can be planned where building access and the programme allow it. The agreed method should reflect operational risk and the sequence of the move.

Do you remove cabling from the old office?

Legacy cable removal and decommissioning can be included where required, subject to the lease, landlord requirements and an agreed scope for retained or abandoned infrastructure.

What information is supplied at handover?

The handover package can include certification results, labelling schedules and as-built information. The exact format is agreed during scoping so it is useful to the client, facilities team and any building-management stakeholders.
