Wireless access still depends on wired infrastructure. Most commercial access points need a stable Ethernet connection and Power over Ethernet from a suitable switch. Their real performance can be limited by cable quality, link speed, switch capacity, PoE budget, cabinet condition and the uplink between network areas.
As a structured cabling and network infrastructure specialist, ACCL can coordinate the wireless and wired parts of the project. We assess cable routes, cabinet space, patching, PoE availability, copper or fibre uplinks and future expansion before equipment is installed.
Cat6 or Cat6A may be recommended according to the access point, link requirements, route length, environment and wider cabling design. The right answer is project-specific; installing a particular cable category by default is not a substitute for checking the complete network.

Secure Guest, Staff and Device Connectivity
A commercial wireless network is part of the organisation’s security boundary. It should not place visitors, staff devices, operational equipment and network management on one shared connection without considering the risk.
Depending on the platform and security policy, ACCL can configure separate staff, guest and device SSIDs, VLAN segmentation, guest isolation, WPA3 where supported, 802.1X where required, controlled management access and documented configuration intent.
Wireless security must align with the firewall, switching, directory services and device-management approach. ACCL agrees the installation boundary with your internal IT team or managed service provider so responsibilities are clear.
