Cabot Financial operates a busy, multi-building campus at Kings Hill in Kent. As a regulated financial-sector business, it needed dependable physical security across the whole site, backed by a partner it could rely on for the long term rather than a series of one-off contractors.
The challenge
Just as important as the security itself, Cabot Financial wanted a single platform its facilities team could manage day to day, rather than a patchwork of separate CCTV and access control products that each behave differently and are awkward to administer.
The solution
ACCL designed and installed a unified Avigilon system that brings CCTV and access control together under one integrated platform across the Kings Hill campus. Standardising on a single manufacturer keeps the estate consistent, simplifies administration for Cabot’s team, and gives a clear upgrade path as the site’s needs change.
The system runs over structured cabling that ACCL installed as part of the same project: Category 6a (Cat6a) copper together with a fibre optic backbone across the campus. This gives the CCTV and access control platform the bandwidth and resilience it needs, and keeps the whole installation, from cabling to cameras to door controllers, with one accountable partner.
As an accredited Avigilon installer, ACCL delivered the work to manufacturer standard and to Cabot’s requirements as a financial-sector site. In total, the system comprises 43 Avigilon cameras, a mix of fixed dome and PTZ units, and access control across 32 doors campus-wide.
